German Language School of Morris County

The German Language School of Morris County celebrates the end of a successful 2006-2007 school year. Our students continue to experience a rich academic environment, supplemented by meaningful activities extending beyond the classroom such as field trips, visitations and cultural events. I am very fortunate to have joined such a supportive community that has eased the transition this year for me as the new principal

Our school and students are proud to be awarded a Letter of Commendation by the AATG (American Association of Teachers of German) for the twelfth consecutive year.

Congratulations to our students for a job well done! Frau Hermine Roberts’ combined 5/6 grade class scored very well on the Level 1 AATG Test. The following five students earned Silver Medals after earning scores in the 95^th national percentile in Levels 2-4: Sanjana Umrale for the Level 2 Achievement Test; Fabian Boehm, Michael Rothe and Nina Schulze for their Level 3 Achievement Tests; Christian Dingle placed in the 90^th Percentile for his score on the Level 3 AATG Test; Felix Albrecht received a medal for his performance on the Level 4 Test.

2006

The German Language School of Morris County, Inc. ended the 2005-2006 school year with a record breaking 110 students. We are proud to be the first German Language School in New Jersey to have aligned our curriculum with the State of New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for World Languages.

For the eleventh, consecutive year, our school and students were awarded a Letter of Commendation by the AATG (American Association of Teachers of German) for outstanding achievements in the 2006 AATG National Testing and Awards Program, since over half of our student scored in the 90th national percentile.

12 of our students earned Silver medals form the AATG after passing January, 2006 AATG Achievement test in the 90th national percentile.

5 students were inducted into the "Delta Epsilon Phi" Honor Society.
